From the first device to a dedicated division
Twenty years ago, a new division was established at Küchler Technik AG: drilling technology.
The catalyst was a request to become the official representative for COMACCHIO drilling rigs and Eurodrill drilling drives in Switzerland.
Complementing the existing divisions of anchor, injection, and measurement technology, and backed by a strong team, the decision was made and the development of the new division began. Just one year later, the first drilling rig was delivered.
From the Beginning to an Established Drilling Technology Company in Switzerland
What began as a one-man department is now a division with 17 employees. This includes 10 construction machinery mechanics, including an apprentice, who perform daily work on the drilling rigs:
- Maintenance and repair of drilling rigs
- Custom modifications according to customer requirements
- On-site support
- Instructions during commissioning
In-house workshop, 7 service vans, and spare parts warehouse for fast response times
A central component of Küchler Drilling Technology is its own infrastructure, which reduces downtime, ensures rapid availability, and keeps response times short. In the workshop, the following are performed:
- Maintenance work and repairs are carried out
- Technical modifications are implemented
- Components are coordinated
- Rental equipment is provided upon customer request
This is complemented by our own spare parts warehouse, which includes:
- Common replacement parts (Comacchio and Eurodrill)
- Rock drilling tools
- Drill strings and drill bits
- Overburden drilling tools
